ARTICLE IV –MEMBERSHIP SECTION 1 –ELIGIBILITY:

All persons who are in accord with the purposes of this corporation shall be considered eligible for membership.

SECTION 2 –CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP:

There shall be five (5) classes of membership: Active, Sustaining, Associate, Corporate, and Honorary.

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP:

• Pay annual dues.
• Attend at least three (3) meetings annually
• Serve on a committee
• Contribute to the organization in whatever manner they can
• Support the Annual Fundraiser (refer to Standing Rules)
• May hold office
• May vote
• May sponsor candidates for membership.

SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP:

• Must have served at least ten (10) consecutive years as an Active member
• Pay annual dues
• May serve on a committee
• Contribute to the organization in whatever manner they can
• Support the Annual Fundraiser (refer to Standing Rules)
• May not hold executive office
• May vote
• May sponsor candidates for membership
• May return to active membership status

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP:

• Pay annual dues.
• May participate in all meetings and activities.
• Support the Annual Fundraisers (refer to Standing Rules)
• Support other events of the organization in whatever manner possible
• May not hold executive office
• May not vote
• May sponsor candidates for membership

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP:

A corporate member is a member who comes from a business in the community wishing to support our goals. They may attend all meetings and functions, serve on committees, and pay annual Corporate dues. A corporate member may hold office, vote, and introduce candidates for membership.

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP:

An Honorary member is chosen by two-thirds (2/3) of the voting board members present. This membership will be reviewed and voted on each year. After one (1) year, Honorary members will be eligible for Active, Associate, or Corporate membership.

SECTION 3 –TERMINATION:

A membership may be terminated by the Board of Directors for nonperformance, absenteeism, or malfeasance, by a two-thirds (2/3) vote. Members may terminate their membership by submitting a letter of resignation to the board of Directors. The Board will act upon the letters of resignation.
