ARTICLE V –DUES

SECTION 1 –AMOUNT:

Dues shall be annually reviewed by the Board of Directors and any change must be approved at a general meeting by the membership eligible to vote. Dues shall be paid by: Active, Sustaining, Associate and Corporate Members. The amount of dues voted on will be indicated in the Standing Rules section of these By Laws.

SECTION 2 –DUE DATE:

Dues are payable on January 1st each year and are delinquent on January 31st. New members will pay dues upon entering the organization.

SECTION 3 –Members Joining Mid-Year:

Members joining after June 1st will pay one-half (1/2) of the applicable dues.

ARTICLE VI –MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

SECTION 1 –REGULAR MEETINGS:

There will be at least nine (9) regular meetings to be held on the second Thursday of the designated months at a time and place to be determined by the Fourth Vice President. The meeting months are: January (club year begins, installation of officers, budget committee appointment and collection of dues), February (presentation of budget), March (distribution of directory), May, August (nominating committee approved), September (present slate of officers), November (annual meeting, election of officers) and December. Additional social functions may be held throughout the year.

SECTION 2 –CANCELLATION OF MEETING:

Any meeting may be cancelled for good cause at the discretion of the president.

SECTION 3 –ANNUAL MEETING AND INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS:

The annual meeting shall be held in November for the election of officers. Officers shall be installed at the January meeting.

SECTION 4 –SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS:

Special meetings of the membership may be called at any time by a vote of the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall give the members notice of such meetings by mail or telephone, stating the time, place, and the business to be transacted at the special meeting.

SECTION 5 –QUORUM:

One-fourth (1/4) of members eligible to vote must be present to constitute a quorum to conduct business at any regular meeting of the general membership. At meetings where election of officers and By-Law changes take place, written proxies, as included in the Flashes, that are received by the President 24 hours before the meeting shall be accepted and counted in the quorum. Only U.S. Postal mail and hand delivery will be accepted.
