Friends of East County Arts, Inc. (FECA) will be honoring one (2) high school and (1) middle school Visual and Performing art teachers this year. An award of $1,500 will be presented to each honoree. 
 
Friends of East County Arts, Inc. has been an important contributor to the VAPA community in East San Diego County since 1984 with financial grants to assist in the growth and development of the arts in schools. 

Outstanding Visual and Performing Arts Teachers will be selected by a committee comprised of members of FECA.  This organization retains the right to make the selections based on: 1) the qualifications of a pool of nominees as stated in the nomination packet and 2) a classroom visitation by members of the selection committee. 

Nominations for this award may be made by an administrator, a peer professional, parent, community representative, or the teacher him/herself. Previous recipients of this award will not be considered this year. 

The completed nomination form must be submitted digitally and dated no later than 5:00 p.m. February 24, 2025.  A confirmation will be sent to each nominator after submission.

Please note: The honoree must be present at the FECA General Meeting on May 3, 2025 in order to receive the Award.  Site administrators and nominators are highly encouraged to attend and support each winner.
